The organisers and programme committee are very pleased to announce that Professor Vladimir Mau, Rector of RANEPA will give a keynote presentation at the CODATA 2017 International Conference ‘Global Challenges and Data-Driven Science’, 8-13 October, Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

Rector of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).

Professor Mau is an expert in the field of economic theory, the history of economic thought, and national economy. He is the author of about 30 books and textbooks published in Russia and the UK as well as more than 700 other published works in several languages. Professor Mau’s research focuses on economic history and the history of economic thought in Russia and the USSR; the theory and history of economic policy, political economy of economic transformation, the evolution of the economic system of the USSR; and the experience of economic reforms, constitutional economics. Vladimir Mau is the editor-in-chief of the scholarly journal Economic Policy; he is chairman of the Editorial Board for the journal Logos; as well as member of the editorial board for various academic publications.

Professor Mau is also a member of the presidium of Russian Presidential Economic Council, member of the Presidential Commission for Civil Service and Management Personnel Pool, chairman of the Expert Council under the Government Commission on Economic Development and Integration, member of the Government Commission on Training Managerial Personnel for the National Economy, member of the Government Commission on Administrative Reform, member of the Government Commission for the Coordination of the Open Government. He is also a member of the Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on Russian and World Economic history.
