Regular CODATA Members’ Meetings

To enable collaboration among CODATA members on priority activities and to facilitate information sharing, regular meetings of CODATA members are being organised by the Executive Committee and the Secretariat on the first Thursday of the month. Whenever changes of dates occur, the Secretariat would update the information at this page and inform members also via email. 

Two 90 mins calls will be scheduled on that day, at 08:00 UTC and 15:00 UTC to accommodate participation of members from various timezones. 

Following discussions during the CODATA General Assembly 2025 about the regular cycle of calls organised for CODATA members, we are happy to announce that the next calls, intended for the audience from all CODATA members, will be taking place on 11 December 2025.

Kindly note that the previously scheduled calls on 6 November and 4 December 2025 are not taking place.

Topics on the agenda will include:

  • Presentation of/by CODATA strategic activity or initiative (followed by discussion)
  • Updates from members
  • Updates from the Secretariat
  • Cycle of members calls in 2026
  • Suggestions of substantive topics for upcoming calls

The cycle of regular calls of the National Committee’s Forum, the International Scientific Unions’ Forum and meetings of all CODATA members will restart in 2026. 

Registration for the meetings 

CODATA members are kindly asked to note the dates and times of the calls and are invited to register according to their membership type and planned attendance. There is no limit to the number of participants per CODATA member. 

We advise you to bookmark this page, to share it with colleagues, and to use it to register for future meetings. 

Agenda / topics addressed in the calls

Topics for discussion will be primarily driven by interests and priorities highlighted by CODATA members in earlier meeting(s). These could include activities around the WorldFAIR+ initiative, data policy and ethics, data science, training and early career related activities. Agenda for a given call will be prepared and announced by the Secretariat in collaboration with the CODATA Executive Committee members chairing/engaged in the membership forums.
