The 12th International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC17) will be held from 20-23 February 2017 at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd). The conference brings together digital curation professionals and educators with data producers and consumers to consider digital curation in a multi-disciplinary context.
There will be a programme of workshops on Monday 20 February and Thursday 23 February and the main conference will run from Tuesday 21 to Wednesday 22 February 2017.
The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RSCEd) is the oldest of the UK surgical Royal Colleges, and one of the largest of all the UK medical Royal Colleges. First incorporated as the Barber Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1505, the College has been at the vanguard of surgical innovation and developments for over 500 years.
The RCSEd has a number of landmark buildings including The Playfair Building, dating back to 1832 and the Surgeons’ Hall Museums which houses collections of international importance.
The complex also includes the Quincentenary Conference Centre. The building its adjacent to the RCSEd and this is where the main conference will be held.
The Pre-Conference Drinks Reception will be held on the evening of Monday 20 February in the Playfair Library and the Conference Dinner will be held on the evening of Tuesday 21 February in the Caves.
