Visit the webpage for more information on this symposium. A draft agenda will be available in the coming weeks.

The symposium will focus on international coordination for science data testbeds. A number of evolving projects around the globe are looking to exploit data to its fullest potential. The GO FAIR Initiative originated in Europe and has international intentions.  It will focus on involving all networked initiatives, research disciplines, and interested States to make research data findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (FAIR). Several similar projects have been initiated in the United States. For example, the National Institute of Standards and Technology is participating in the National Data Service project, and the National Institutes of Health has proposed a Data Commons for biomedical research data. Another proposed joint effort, Cross-Continental Collection Access & Management Pilot (C2CAMP), will work across the Atlantic has similar goals for scientific data management.  A Program for the Symposium is forthcoming.

We hope you will join us for this exciting event! If you have any questions, please contact Christine Liu at CLiu@nas.edu.
