International Data Week 2025, in Brisbane, Australia, provides an important opportunity to provide information about CDIF, the Cross-Domain Interoperability Framework; to communicate its objectives, approach, and content; to get feedback on these things; and to build collaborations and partnerships.

CODATA convened a ‘WorldFAIR+ and CDIF Update and Next Steps Meeting’ to provide an update on CDIF developments, to get feedback on progress, and to identify new potential new collaborations and partnerships.
The workshop addressed the following topics.
- CDIF general progress, vision and next steps.
- Progress with funded projects (CDIF4XAS, Climate-Adapt4EOSC, FAIR4DDE).
- Updates on recent funding proposals and implications.
- Plans for upcoming Dagstuhl workshop.
- Priority topics: context, provenance and data quality; dealing with binary data formats; CDIF, Croissant and AI.
- Governance, release management and licensing.
- Suggestions, recommendations, opportunities for collaboration, AOB?
