Data Curation and Management: Current Achievements and Future Challenges<\/p>\n

The management and curation of research\u00a0data is a very timely topic. All researchers rely on data they have themselves collected or that are the outputs of previous studies. Moreover, researchers are increasingly required to organize the long-term storage and access of the data used to obtain their results. As such, data training is highly relevant to budding scientists\u00a0as they embark on their careers!<\/p>\n

With many thanks to the generous sponsorship of the\u00a0European Geosciences Union<\/a>\u00a0(EGU), the World Data System of the International Science Council (WDS) is delighted to offer a\u00a0Research Data Management (RDM) Training Workshop<\/strong>\u00a0aimed at early career researchers and scientists (ECRs).<\/p>\n

The Workshop will take place on\u00a06\u20138 November 2019 at\u00a0Institut de Physique du Globe<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in Paris, France.\u00a0Twenty-four (24) seats are available<\/strong>, for whom dormitory accommodation (FIAP<\/a>) and meals will be covered. There is also limited funding available towards some participants travel costs. If more people apply than there are places available, selection of participants by the\u00a0WDS Scientific Committee<\/a>(WDS-SC) will be based upon their interest in the Workshop.<\/p>\n
