The\u00a0Environment Agency \u2013 Abu Dhabi (EAD)<\/em>, as co-founder of the\u00a0Eye on Earth<\/a>\u00a0movement, in partnership with the\u00a0UAE Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA)<\/em>\u00a0and the\u00a0Eye on Earth Alliance<\/em>\u00a0are delighted to invite all who support evidence-based decision making for environmental and natural resource aspects of sustainable development to\u00a0Convene, Converge and Collaborate\u00a0<\/em>at an\u00a0Eye on Earth Symposium.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>The Symposium will be held at the Mina A\u2019Salam Hotel in Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, United Arab Emirates from\u00a022-24 Oct. 2018<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 Participation in the Eye on Earth (EoE) Symposium is free of charge.<\/p>\n

The FCSA, with support from the Statistics Division of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, under the guidance of the United Nations Statistical Commission and the High-Level Group for Partnership, Coordination and Capacity-Building for Statistics for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, will concurrently be hosting the\u00a02nd United Nations World Data Forum<\/a>\u00a0(UNWDF) also at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai.<\/p>\n

Topics of common interest are listed in the\u00a0outcome document<\/a>\u00a0of the preceding UNWDF (objectives 3.3, 3.4, 3.6, 4.1 and 5.1)<\/p>\n

Please note the UNWDF and the EoE Symposium are independently organised\u00a0events.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Eye on Earth Symposium Described<\/h2>\n

The Symposium comprises two ~50 person meeting rooms and an adjacent networking area.<\/p>\n

The Symposium is a working\/outcomes-focused event.\u00a0 The focus is on progressing the\u00a0EoE Vision<\/a>\u00a0by catalyzing and strengthening bilateral and multi-lateral partnerships.<\/p>\n

The Symposium content is provided by members of the EoE\u00a0Global Community<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Symposium content is a mixture of presentations with Q&A, panel discussions, and in-depth, interactive, multi-hour workshops.<\/p>\n

We plan to webcast the Symposium sessions for those unable to attend in person. Remote participants will be able to see, hear and speak.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Webinar details are listed below.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
